I make charity quilts for my local quilt guild which gives them to a halfway house for single mothers. Our guild (about 150 quilters) makes about 10 charity quilts a month and I am always impressed by the time and effort put into each one.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15612686505076697159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109527732253977468.post-8136141848327507232015-06-11T12:08:21.332-04:002015-06-11T12:08:21.332-04:00I have such a pile of unfinished, Lara. I've had the opportunity to make several very small quilts for the Angel Baby program at our local hospital which are then given to parents of stillborn or deceased NICU infants. And, yes it is sad, but the parents are so grateful to have something soft and warm to wrap up their little one.Tu-Na Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06556292032780405882noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109527732253977468.post-76203205033804537252015-06-09T21:09:55.311-04:002015-06-09T21:09:55.311-04:00I've made small quilts for neonatal babies and...I've made small quilts for neonatal babies and also lap quilts for nursing home residents. :) I love the colors you chose.mlhummyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04560823503621682613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2109527732253977468.post-86379905219603866022015-06-09T13:48:13.499-04:002015-06-09T13:48:13.499-04:00What an amazing quilt! Tiny NICU quilts for the families who weren't anticipating their babies being born so soon and didn't have quilts ready, and bigger quilts for family members who are far from home and need comfort or for older kids who are patients. I'm not a fan of McDonalds as a restaurant but the good they do as a haven for families at a time of crisis can't be measured. I try to give back a little bit, because they helped my sister and her family when my niece was born, thirty years ago. Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11786511163919657885noreply@blogger.com
